According to a press release, the Celebrity Beyond arrived in the New York area today, marking its much-anticipated North American debut. Celebrity Beyond, the newest member of the Edge class, will set sail from the Port of Bayonne on October 26 for its first season in the United States.

The Celebrity Beyond and her 1,400-person crew arrived in Bayonne, New Jersey, with trailblazer Captain Kate McCue, the first and only American female cruise ship captain, on the Bridge, and Captain Dimitris Kafetzis, who had the honor of completing the ship’s transatlantic crossing. Following a series of European voyages earlier this summer, the ship now departs from US ports for the first time on a variety of Caribbean itineraries.
