Accommodations Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Accommodations Maintenance Supervisor shall support the respective Manager
ensuring the maintenance standards are achieved. This position must perform a variety
of tasks. From preventative maintenance to repair, this position should strive to keep
the maintenance standards at a high quality level.
Employee may be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their
supervisor, management or the Chief Engineer. All duties and responsibilities are to
be performed in accordance with the Company’s Safety, Quality and Environmental
standards.
Qualifications:
- Five years minimum experience in technical/engineering maintenance on a cruise
ship or a land based facility. - Previous supervisory experience with the ability to train and coach employees.
- Extensive knowledge of Galley, Laundry, and Hotel/F&B equipment , plumbing
systems , as well as joining/carpentry experience . - Good communication/social skills, to communicate in a multicultural environment
with all levels of employees and management. - Able to read and interpret technical drawings, instruction manuals and schematic
diagrams for equipment that has mechanical, outfitting and structural components. - SOLAS Lifesaving and Fire Fighting Training according to SOLAS and STCW
requirements for passenger ships (Preferred). - Ability to demonstrate leadership, co-ordination and problem solving skills when
performing routine and contingency tasks in order to minimize organization
bottlenecks, negative guest impact and down-time of equipment.

monitored and are being resolved in a timely manner providing excellent
service to both Guests and Crew. - Leads the team in order to get issues resolved and executed in an effective
manner. - Responsible for cost containment and budget disposition through the proper
use, handling and maintenance of spare parts, consumables, chemicals and
general supplies. - Assists the AMM in the reporting and management of planned maintenance
and identifies, recommends, creates requisitions and work orders in the AMOS
system.

Physical & Language Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk
or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up
to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to
adjust focus. - All shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency
life saving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as
full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give
instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - All shipboard employees must be able to communicate in the English
language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes
the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to
effectively present information and respond to questions from guests,
supervisors and co-workers.
