Engine Foreman
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Engine Foreman shall assist the 1st Engineer. He shallperform duties as delegated by him, and organize all work orders received from him.He is responsible for following up and providing feedback to the 1st. Engineer onpending jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- RCLplaces the highest value on the environment, and all employeesshall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work withsuperiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company’senvironmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment.He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if anyenvironmental system does not function properly.
- Arrange tools needed, and return them after the job has been completed.
- The “clean up” after completion of any jobcarried out under hissupervision.
- Ensure that engine room crew follow the existing rules concerning breaktimes.
- Report any task that should be of the 1st Engineer’s concern.
- Spokesman between the engine crew and the 1st Engineer during workand free time.
- Direct subordinates to ensure work is carried out properly and in a timelyand efficient manner.
- Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor.
