Primary Function: Serves food and beverages to crew in the crew messrooms and maintains and cleans these areas as per established company policies.
Reports To: Dining Room Manager
Major Responsibilities:
Serve food and beverages to crew in the ship’s messrooms and maintains and cleans these areas as outlined in his job specification.
Implement and execute food handling and cleaning procedures in accordance with USPH standards as outlined in the Safe Food Handling Manual, cleaning specifications for messrooms and job specifications.
Responsible to properly use, return and maintain the provided equipment and utensils to prevent damage, loss or undue maintenance.
Responsible to properly use and maintain the provided in-place equipment in order to prevent damage or undue maintenance.
Responsible to implement and execute proper maintenance and cleaning procedures in his work area in order to ensure good appearance and condition of the area and equipment.
Maintains a high level of productivity, cleanliness and sanitation in his work area.
Reports any malfunctioning equipment or furnishings in need of repair or refurbishing to his superior.
Follows all reasonable orders from his direct superior, whom is the Head Steward appointed by the Dining Room Manager.
Works closely and cooperates with superiors, colleagues and all other employees in order to achieve safe and clean areas work environment.
