The international search for a Wonder Mom and Godmother for the newest Oasis class ship, Wonder of the Seas, has concluded, according to Royal Caribbean International. According to a press release, Marie McCrea, a Pennsylvania resident, was chosen as the winner of the #SearchforWonderMom TikTok contest and will be the Godmother on the Wonder of the Seas.

“It was not easy to find such an inspiring mother who embodies the spirit of Wonder of the Seas.” “Marie and her family have a heartwarming and encouraging story that made us cry, rejoice, and hope, and she inspired wonder and adventure in those around her,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.

“I’d like to thank everyone who nominated their own Wonder Moms.” More than 16,000 videos were created, and I was inspired by all of the incredible stories of everyday heroes who inspire others to discover, wonder, and make memories.”

More than 16,000 videos were submitted in the search for a Wonder Mom, with 10.6 billion hashtag views.

McCrea is a dedicated mother, wife, and cancer survivor who was nominated by her daughter Allie. She will accept the honor of blessing the Wonder of the Seas during a naming ceremony on December 9, 2022, at its first year-round homeport of Port Canaveral, Florida.

“It is a tremendous honor to have been chosen among all of the incredible nominees, and I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to serve as Wonder of the Seas’ Godmother,” she says. They will join an invite-only naming ceremony celebration cruise to Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Following the naming ceremony, Wonder of the Seas will set sail on December 11 from Port Canaveral, Florida to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
