As part of our amazing Engine Team Assistant Carpenters are responsible for maintaining the wood structures in the Guest and Crew areas. Assisting with refurbishment and new installation in crew areas and Responding to work orders and repair requests the helping to maintain the ship so our guests can enjoy their vacation. Assistant Carpenters work alongside the Team Leader and Facilities Maintenance Manager and are a vital part of the Technical team who work hard behind the scenes to keep everything working and looking pristine.

Assisting the Maintenance Team Leader in the routine maintenance and refurbishing work
Assisting the Staff Captain Facility Maintenance Manager as required
Being able to undertake jobs to provide help to the Masons, Joiners and Upholsters.
Ensuring that all aspects of the company’s environmental policies and procedures are applicable to his/her job tasks, and are properly carried out to include but not limited to, the proper labelling of all hazardous material containers, as well as including those in which may be temporarily used, utilizing the proper storage and containment of hazardous chemicals including paints, the proper precautionary procedures specified by the company when painting on-board or “over the side”, and the proper application of the company’s personnel protection program.
Overseeing the fresh water bunkering.
Attend all Safety drills and training as required.
Any other reasonable task assigned by the FMM or Staff Chief Engineer.
Experience and Education:
Preferred Education: High School Diploma | Technical Training
Area of study: Carpentry
Certification: Basic Training Certs as per STCW 95 regulations
Required working experience: Have worked as Carpenter, Experience of woodwork
