Department: Engine – Technical

Reports To: Chief Plumber, Staff Chief Engineer

Role Overview:

Set sail on a new career with Carnival, and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels! We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Assistant Plumbers!

As part of our amazing Engine Team Assistant Plumbers are part of our behind the scenes team who play a vital role in ensuring all of the vessels potable water, technical water, grey water and black water systems are fully functioning.  As part of a small but hardworking and FUN pluming team you will be working in the guest, crew and technical areas around the ship no two days are the same in this position!

Job Functions:

• Under the supervision of the Chief Plumber performs maintenance and up-keeping of the vessels potable water, technical water, grey water and black water systems.
• Cleaning, maintenance and repairs of ancillaries components (pumps, ejectors, level switches, etc.) of black water collecting tanks (evac)
• Maintenance and repair of grey water collecting tanks and black water treatment plants ancillaries (Pumps, level switches, air diffusers etc)
• Responds to any call for intervention form guest and crew areas
• Performs on call duties per the department schedule.
• Participated in all safety drills and trainings
• Adheres to all environmental procedures and policies
• Any other job assigned by the Chief Plumber or Staff Chief Engineer.

Experience and Education:

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma  |  Technical Training
• Area of Study: Plumbing
• Certification: Basic Training Certs as per STCW 95 regulations
• Required working experience: Worked as a plumber +2 years
• Target number of years’ experience: + 2 years’ experience in the field; Shipboard experience preferred
