Role Overview:

Set sail on a new career with Carnival, and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels! We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Assistant Reefers!

As part of our amazing Engine Team Assistant Fitter, you will be Assisting our Refrigeration Officers to maintain and repair the Air Conditioning and refrigeration systems. Working as part of the small refrigeration Team under the guidance of the Chief Refrigeration Officer you will play a vital part in ensuring our ship stays cool so sour guests can enjoy their Fun and memorable vacations!

Job Functions:

• Support the Refrigeration Officer in the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel’s Ventilation and Air Condition and refrigeration systems
• Performs elementary mechanical tasks.
• Assist the Refrigeration Officer in the execution of the maintenance and routine testing of equipment, instrument and automation
• Ensure that all aspects of our occupational health and safety programs are effectively applied
• Ensure all aspects of the company’s global (HESS-MS) Health, Environment, Safety and Security Management System are effectively applied during his/her working activities
• Performs on call duties as per the department rotation.
• Participate in drills and training as required by the company
• Complete additional assignments depending on shipboard operations

Experience and Education:

• Preferred education: High School Diploma  |  Technical Training
• Area of Study: AC/HVAC Certification
• Certification: – Current and valid Basic Training Certificates as per STCW 10 Regulation
  – Current and valid Security Awareness Training and Crowd and Crisis Management Certificate
• Required working experience: Some experience of working with refrigeration, Air conditioning etc.
• Target number of years’ experience: +12/18 months experience in the field
