REPORTS TO: Assistant Executive Housekeeper

The Gig:

The Floor and Furniture Care Custodial carries out the cleaning and maintenance of all Furniture and Floors onboard the vessel.

What You’ll be Up to:

  • Carries out cleaning and polishing of all furniture in public areas including but not limited to mess, walkways, atrium, restaurants and bars.
  • Carries out cleaning and maintenance of carpets and floors in all areas including shampooing, stripping, waxing etc.
  • Assists in the handling and distribution of Sailor luggage on embarkation/disembarkation.
  • Follows and ensures correct storage via COSWOPP when handling and/or using cleaning chemicals.
  • Keeps all cleaning equipment well maintained and reports any defects to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.
  • Ensures that the set standards are kept and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.

Super Powers Required:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as Housekeeping Utility/Custodial onboard a Cruise ship or 4/5* hotel/resort.
  • Passionate about people and able to handle guest complaints with a smile!
  • All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
  • Good command of the English Language
