This ‘someone’ will be comfortable with working wonders on all types of fabric to ensure cleanliness and proper storage. We will rely on this person to ensure our linens are looking & smelling fresh!

In other words, this ‘someone’ needs to know how to Make Ship Happen. Your excellent attention to detail and self-starter mentality means you can think quick on your feet and keep calm when ship gets real. Ultimately, we won’t be able to remember how we got by without you.

What You’ll be Up To:

• Responsible for all work in the laundry in compliance to Company standards.
• Responsible for washing and ironing of table linen, napkins, towels, cleaning towels, guest laundry and uniforms from kitchen, Restaurant, Bar and Officers.
• Responsible for the general cleanliness of the laundry and linen store room incompliance with our Virgin Voyages standards.
• Responsible for dealing carefully with all equipment, machines and cleaning agents in the laundry.
• Responsible to carry out guest laundry back to the guest.
• Reporting technical defects in the Laundry to the reception.
• Adherence to cleanliness and hygienic regulations in compliance with Virgin Voyages hygienic concept and HACCP.
• Responsible for inventories and orders for the laundry.
• Support of other departments if needed (Restaurant, Bar, etc.).
• Knowledge of the ship and the respective daily housekeeping program.

Super Powers Required:

• At least one year of hotel or prior cruise ship experience in a comparable position.
• Good Command of the English Language
• Knowledge of hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of machine operators, such as washing machines, dryers and ironers.
• Strong intrapersonal skills.
