REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper
The Linen Storekeeper is responsible for the control, storage, delivery and receiving of all linen and uniform for all departments.
Responsible for preparing all linen required for cabin cleaning.
Monitors the condition of linen, towels and uniforms on a daily basis and logs all damaged items prior to submitting to Executive Housekeeper.
Controls the issuance of uniform issue to new and existing crew on sign on days and keeps a record of what has been issued to individuals.
Organizes receipt of uniforms from disembarking crew (except Officers) and delivers to Laundry for cleaning and/or Tailor for maintenance and repair and notifies Executive Housekeeper of any missing items.
Works closely with the Tailor to ensure all linen and uniform items are well maintained and kept to a high standard.
Works closely with Laundry Manager and notifies them of any issues regarding washing or dry cleaning of uniform or linen items.
Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.
Ensures that the set standards are kept and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.
Super Powers Required:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Linen Storekeeper onboard a Cruise ship or a 4/5*
All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
Good command of the English Language.
