Mechanic
BASIC FUNCTION:
The above mentioned positions shall carry out the work ordersgiven by Engine Foreman. They are highly skilled workers and must be able to carryout all kind of maintenance and repair work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- RCLplaces the highest value on the environment, and all employeesshall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work withsuperiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company’senvironmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment.He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if anyenvironmental system does not function properly.
- Overhauling of pumps.
- Welding, including TIG and MIG.
- Operate lathe machine.
- Carry out most steelwork, particularly withstainless steel.
- Pipe fittings.
- They will also assist with overhauling of propulsion and auxiliarysystems when necessary.
- Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor.R
EQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Valid Certificate in ARC welding, to include TIGand MIG
- A Valid Certificate in Stainless Steel Welding
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in refitting of ventilation ducting
