As part of our amazing Engine Team, JR Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the inventory on board, efficiently and in an organized way to guarantee adequate storage and requisition of engine spare parts onboard the ship.  JR Inventory Controller works alongside with Maintenance Engineer and reports to Staff CE. JR Inventory Controller are a vital part of the Technical team who work hard behind the scenes to keep everything working seamlessly.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the Team Leaders with inventory of equipment and materials in the not locked engine department stores, all over engine department responsibility for:
• Eye wash station checks, labelling and refilling
• First Aid kit checks, labelling and refilling
• Heavy objects securing register checks and updating files
• Ladders checks, inventory and logs
• Pest management
• Hazardous waste process administration, inventory, collection and disposal
• Jr Inventory Controller is the sole key holder and accountable for the stock levels for assigned stores to be locked and control access to it
• Ensuring proper storage and labelling of all materials and equipment under his/her control in compliance with Company’s procedure
• Handling of receiving and landing of all material related to engine department
• Ensuring that delivered spare parts are checked against completeness and proper delivery by the team leaders of the engine department
• In charge to update internal database (Infoship), modify system data according to procurement and maintenance purposes advised by the Chief Engineer or Team leader in charge
• Ordering and performing inventory for consumables
• Preparing the summary of cargo landing manifest
• Use of forklifts as required
